Arizona Actors Academy has always been more than a studio. It has been a place for artists. A home where people come to do brave work, grow their craft, and build community.

And now, we’re stepping into an exciting new chapter.

Starting March 1st, 2026, Arizona Actors Academy will officially move into our new home: Green Gables, a historic Phoenix property sometimes called “Camelot in the Desert.”

This isn’t just a change of address.
It’s a deepening of purpose and a space worthy of everything this community has built together.

Why Green Gables?

Some buildings are just buildings.

And some hold story.

Green Gables is the second kind.

Loved by Phoenix locals and preserved as a landmark, Green Gables has a rare kind of magic, the kind you can’t manufacture. From the architecture to the history, it carries a sense of imagination, permanence, and dignity.

It feels like a place where creativity belongs.

For AZAA, it is the perfect home.

A Home for Actors — Built With Love

Arizona Actors Academy began in 2006 as a single class. A small group. One night a week. A belief that actors in Arizona deserved training that was serious, transformative, and rooted in honest craft.

Since then, AZAA has grown through multiple homes; each one shaped by the resilience of artists who keep showing up, even when the world makes the arts feel optional.

This move to Green Gables feels different.

It feels like an arrival.

A chance to build something lasting. Not just a training space, but a true creative home for Arizona.

What This Move Means (and Why We Need Support)

Moving a school is not small. Especially a school rooted in community.

Green Gables needs key improvements to support what we do; signage, studio upgrades, moving expenses, performance space buildout, and essential infrastructure.

We are doing everything we can to keep tuition stable and avoid raising rates. That means being strategic with funds… and leaning on the strength of the community that built AZAA in the first place.

If you’d like to help us establish this historic space as a thriving creative home again, we are still raising funds to offset moving costs and build out the new studios.

Every gift helps.
Every share helps.
And every act of support helps preserve something rare: an artistic home.
