AZAA is thrilled to offer a whole new approach to TV and Film acting for the actor. This is real world knowledge and practice necessary to succeed! This class is as close to in-the-field training for life on set as an actor can get. You will learn the critical roles of on-set crew and how you’re expected to support and work with them. You’ll gain a deep understanding of varying director styles/approaches and build the skill to work at your best during production with every one of them. You will tackle auditioning, from the dreaded self-tape to director interview. This is an in depth, hands on, on your feet, no joke learning opportunity. We’re so excited to bring it to you and honored Director/ Producer/Writer, Anthony DiBlasi is lending us his experience and talents to lead it. Spots are limited.

Anthony DiBlasi is a fresh, visionary, director/writer with over 15 years of expertise; nine feature films, four short films, and various commercial/agency work under his belt. He is award-winning in multiple categories; Best Director “Last Shift” (2015, thriller/horror), Best Director “Her Last Will” (2016, thriller/drama), Best Independent Feature “Dread” (2010, thriller/horror), Best Short Film “The Test” (2013, comedy/drama); and he’s just getting started!

About Anthony DiBlasi - DIRECTOR

“ALL THAT MATTERS IS WHAT SHOWS UP IN THE CAMERA.”

Born and raised in Boston, Anthony DiBlasi graduated film school at Emerson College. Upon moving to Los Angeles he became a protégé of filmmaker/novelist Clive Barker. DiBlasi partnered in Barker’s production company Midnight Picture Show for nearly ten years, serving as a key executive & producer on films such as “Midnight Meat Train” (2008) and “Book of Blood” (2009). DiBlasi made his directorial debut with the psychological thriller “Dread” (2009), a feature film he wrote based on the Clive Barkershort story of the same name. “Dread” was released theatrically in January of 2010 and went on to win Best Independent Feature at the 2010 Spike Scream Awards.=

He directed and co-wrote “Last Shift” a critically acclaimed supernatural horror film released by Magnolia Pictures in 2015. And directed “Extremity” a psychological thriller based on Extreme Haunts, released in 2018 by Epic Pictures.

Anthony Diblasi’s latest feature film, “MALUM,” is a re-imaging of “Last Shift,” released by Welcome Villian Pictures as their debut film on March 31, 2023 in a limited theatrical release across the USA. Well reviewed and his second critically acclaimed supernatural horror film now on the books – Anthony DiBlasi’s “MALUM” released to streaming (and is now available to screen at home) on all channels as of May 16, 2023.

Anthony is married to his creative partner and collaborator, actress/writer Natalie Victoria – and spends his free time passing out sunglasses with Rowdy Roddy Piper.
