Arizona Actors Academy with the support of Theatre Upstairs aspire to stay up to date on the conversations and intentions of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (D&I/DEI). We know that representation matters and aim to be an inclusive space for every kind of artist as well as foster diverse leaders in our art form.

Outreach programs –

• Scholarships for Financial Hardship
  • Many students come upon our studio seeking to hone their craft and can not afford ongoing training. We try to help by offering work study opportunities and payment plans, as a small business still in recovery, we rarely have funds to offer discounts on classes. If you wish to help young artists find a place to grow and train, feel free to specify your donation to our Scholarship program.
• Theatre Upstairs Productions
  • We like to offer our students production & performance experience so that they can go on to be capable leaders in these environments. The mission of the collaboration between Arizona Actors Academy and our non-profit Theatre Upstairs is to create affordable and free local entertainment & theatre, providing a space for artists to take risks and share their unique voice. Donations to this project would help us keep these opportunities available, support more, and maintain free & affordable entertainment to the local community.

Our Goals –

• Continue to build strong leaders, coaches and empower artists to launch potential careers such as, actors, writers, directors or educators. We aim to create an inclusive environment for folks to grow as an artist. We wish to celebrate and feature all artistic voices. 
• Give high level training and technique to any individual seeking to evolve their acting skills, ensuring that we are valuing all voices in our classrooms and productions.
• Partner with theaters and organizations that have the same values and appreciation for art’s healing affects on humanity. Organizations that believe arts expression builds strong leadership and community values.
