AZAA Acting Essentials Registration

Schedule a Class Audit to try it out for yourself. Audits in this class are semi-participatory. The $25.00 fee is non-refundable but changeable and will be applied as a credit to your first month's tuition if you enroll. Please let us know if you can’t make it for any reason to reschedule. Auditing spots are limited.

Most of our communications are through email, please give us your best contact.
All of our enrollment is automatic billing, therefore once you are enrolled there are no credits or refunds for missed classes and all tuition is non-refundable.
If the date you want is unavailable to select, the class is full, please move onto the next available date.

If you select next month, we will enroll you to start at full tuition when the monthly enrollment resets, this can vary depending on class breaks or holidays. This is also subject to availability and could lead to our wait list.

If you answered no - you must have the approval of our coaches to join our adult program. Do this by setting up an assessment first. The parent or guardian of the teen must be the person to sign & submit this registration form.

There are no limitations on who can be an actor, in fact, more representation is in demand. Each individual is unique. This question is focused on inclusivity so your Coach can fully maximize your training experience to suit your unique needs. Terms and Conditions Of Acting Essentials

You are enrolling into our six-week Acting Essentials. Make sure you read all of our Terms and Conditions regarding your enrollment so you understand fully what policies and potential penalties you are agreeing to.

REGISTRATION | ENROLLMENT

  • You are required to complete the form and signify your agreement to Payment Policies, Waiver of Liability and class Code of Conduct.
  • Enrollment is for an six-week rotation of our Acting Essentials course.
  • All our communications are via email. It is important that you maintain contact.
  • An active email address is necessary for you to receive your monthly billing invoices, tuition reminders and updates.
  • Please notify us of any changes in contact information.

TUITION | INVOICING PLAN

  • Tuition is $350.00 in total for the course, which can be broken up into two payments of $175.00.
  • Choosing payments will set up a second automatic payment 27 days from the date you registered.
    • Use a credit/debit card account suitable for this automatic payment..
  • A declined payment will result in a $20 fee if payment is not resolved within 3 days using our "flexible payment portal". 
  • All tuition paid is non-refundable.

REFUNDS & PRO-RATING TUITION

WITHDRAWAL POLICY

  • Students can withdraw within 14 days of their due date to stop further billing. However, all tuition payments made are non-refundable, including recurring.

RE-ENROLLMENT

  • If you have to temporarily withdraw, you will be able to set up an automatic return to classes.
  • You can re-enroll as a return student anytime and pick up where you left off.
  • Any credit you may have from a late withdrawal will be applied to your return tuition.

INCLEMENT WEATHER OR INSTRUCTOR EMERGENCY

  • In the event of inclement weather or emergency, we will send email notifications if classes are cancelled.
  • Any cancelled classes will be offered a make-up class with ample time to adjust your schedule.
  • If you are unable to attend a make-up class, AZAA cannot refund the original class. Please make every effort to attend the make-up class.
Waiver of Liability:
As a participant in any program or class at Arizona Actors Academy/Theatre Upstairs (Hotchner Studios LLC), understand and agree that in participating in any acting/voice/movement class, workshop, rehearsal or performance, there is a possibility of physical injury or death. I recognize and acknowledge there are certain risks of physical injury, and I agree to assume the full risk of injuries, including death, damages or loss that I or my minor child may sustain as a result of participating in any activities connected with or associated with such program or class. I agree to waive and relinquish all claims I or my minor child may have as a result of participating in any program or class against Arizona Actors Academy/Theatre Upstairs. (Hotchner Studios LLC) and its officers, agents, servants, employees and independent contractors. I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless and defend Arizona Actors Academy/Theatre Upstairs (Hotchner Studios LLC) and it's officers, agents, servants, employees an independent contractors from my claims resulting from injuries including death, damages and losses sustained by me or my minor child that arise out of, in connection with, or in any way associated with the activities of this program.
Optional Waiver:
I understand that Arizona Actors Academy/Theatre Upstairs a 501c3 (Hotchner Sudios LLC) are organizations that promote acting as an art form not only to its students, but also to the community at large. As such, articles, brochures, videos and websites may be used either promotionally or educationally and may include images of Arizona Actors Academy/Theatre Upstairs (Hotchner Studios LLC) students or other participants in our programs. I hereby permit the use of my image to be photographed, videotaped or otherwise recorded for the use in Arizona Actors Academy/Theatre Upstairs (Hotchner Studios LLC) publicity or educational materials. These materials include, but are not limited to, photographs of classes and performances, newsletters, various other school publications, Arizona Actors Academy/Theatre Upstairs (Hotchner Studios LLC) internet webpage and video of class/performances.

Class Code and Etiquette Policy.:

We strive every day to create the safest creative environment for artistic development. This requires a working space of the highest integrity for personal risk taking and artistic exploration, both on and off the stage.

• Cell phones should be turned off or switched to silence when entering the classroom. Please save any calls or texting for breaks. If you have a special situation such as a sick relative or work crisis and need to check your phone, let your instructor know before class starts.
• Absolutely no picture taking during class without express permission and a photo release.
• What goes on in class stays in class. To take creative risks, actors must feel safe. Respect your the actors working and their privacy.
• No eating while actors are working.
• Be respectful and quiet while other actors are working. One of the best ways to learn is from watching others!
TREAT PEOPLE WELL!
• Be respectful of everyone you work with: the staff, the crew, the directors, the designers, the other actors, and yourself.
• Use common sense. Respect your fellow actors personal space and belongings. Keep your hands to yourself.
• Watch your language. Ours is a safe space for artistic risk taking. No disparaging remarks regarding, gender, sexual orientation, race, religion or socio-economic background will be tolerated.

INVOICING & PAYMENT Your commitment fee of $25.00 will be charged for you upon submission using the information provided.

ENROLLMENT To join our classes following your audit, you will need to return to our registration page and officially enroll as a "New Student".

  • Enrollment in our Acting Essentials program is six weeks with consecutive attendance.
  • Tuition can be paid in full or split in two payments.

REFUNDS Your audit fee is non-refundable, however will be applied as a credit over your full course, when you register for classes at AZAA.

  • You can reschedule by reaching out to us via your confirmation email.

The payment will be charged to your info given below upon submission of this form. If you choose to enroll in classes following your audit, the $25.00 payment will be credited to your first months tuition charge.
All additional class tuition is charged in three weeks.
