Online Intensive Led by Anthony DiBlasi

Over six focused, 90-minute live online sessions, you’ll develop a pitch-ready logline, a structured beat map, fluency in industry-standard format, and the foundations of a professional short screenplay.

  • Week 1: The Idea (How pros pressure-test concepts)
Premise surgery → logline clinic (clarity, irony, hook).

  • Week 2: The Outline (Beat economy for the short form)
Design a spine that moves. No padding, no wheel-spinning.

  • Week 3: Screenplay Format (Communicating like a pro reader expects)
Write visually; make pages read fast.

  • Week 4: Three-Act Shape for Shorts (Without the fluff)
Map inciting beat → midpoint pivot → decisive turn into Act III.

  • Week 5: Setup → Payoff (Designing satisfaction)
Plant cleanly, pay off hard; cut exposition you don’t need.

  • Week 6: Character & Polish (Behavior on the page)
Motivation, want vs. need, subtext, and tightening passes.

  • Stand Alone (optional) Week 7:
Next Steps: Produce & Submit (The bridge to reality).

  • A stand-alone add-on that translates your script into a practical plan (scroll for more info.).

About Anthony DiBlasi - DIRECTOR

“ALL THAT MATTERS IS WHAT SHOWS UP IN THE CAMERA.”

Born and raised in Boston, Anthony DiBlasi graduated film school at Emerson College. Upon moving to Los Angeles he became a protégé of filmmaker/novelist Clive Barker. DiBlasi partnered in Barker’s production company Midnight Picture Show for nearly ten years, serving as a key executive & producer on films such as “Midnight Meat Train” (2008) and “Book of Blood” (2009). DiBlasi made his directorial debut with the psychological thriller “Dread” (2009), a feature film he wrote based on the Clive Barkershort story of the same name. “Dread” was released theatrically in January of 2010 and went on to win Best Independent Feature at the 2010 Spike Scream Awards.=

He directed and co-wrote “Last Shift” a critically acclaimed supernatural horror film released by Magnolia Pictures in 2015. And directed “Extremity” a psychological thriller based on Extreme Haunts, released in 2018 by Epic Pictures.

Anthony Diblasi’s latest feature film, “MALUM,” is a re-imaging of “Last Shift,” released by Welcome Villian Pictures as their debut film on March 31, 2023 in a limited theatrical release across the USA. Well reviewed and his second critically acclaimed supernatural horror film now on the books – Anthony DiBlasi’s “MALUM” released to streaming (and is now available to screen at home) on all channels as of May 16, 2023.

Anthony is married to his creative partner and collaborator, actress/writer Natalie Victoria – and spends his free time passing out sunglasses with Rowdy Roddy Piper.
