Registration Open for Relaxation and Sensory With Rachel Bailit
Lee Strasberg’s unique approach to acting as taught at the legendary Actors Studio in New York, more often referred to as The Method, remains one of the most coveted acting techniques to train in and also the most misunderstood and mysterious. It is not actors pulling their own teeth out for a role but instead an artist’s deeply personal journey to find the deepest truth within themselves and the courage to allow those truths, sometimes messy and ugly, to speak through the character they are portraying. At the cornerstone of this is his Relaxation and Sensory work, perhaps the most difficult acting technique to find good training in today. AZAA has always been one of the few drama schools in the world, endorsed by The Actors Studio, to teach it. We are honored to welcome guest artist Rachel Bailit, longtime instructor at The Strasberg Institute in Los Angeles, to our team for this special one day introductory workshop to Relaxation and Sensory. If the demand is there, we will bring Rachel back for on-going and continuous training, accessible to actors anywhere via Zoom.

An Introduction led by Rachel Bailit from The Strasberg Institute
March 14th – 1:00pm MST | $65.00 | $50 for current AZAA students
Class will meet up to three hours depending on size.
In this special one day workshop, Rachel will give you an online introduction to Lee Strasberg’s technique of relaxation and take you through a sensory exercise. Time permitting, a few students will be asked to share a monologue. Please have one prepared.
