To be honest – this last year I spent more time in my own imagination than those of our industries 2020 creatives. I did see both WW84 and Soul over the holiday and personally, Soul was far better, definitely a must see from Pixar… I found WW84 tedious, predictable and drawn out. Now this is just my opinion of course, and has much to do with many variables, expectations, state of being, the pressure & anxiety from creepy cat stares. I had to consider the movie theater intent of this movie and the disappointing decision to release it early for streaming. I get it, but also, every movie ends up on TV… and now, after this year… marketing, making and forward thinking in the movie industry has likely become even more interesting. You can’t hide a bad movie with amazing special effects anymore. Not that it was a BAD movie… but Chris Pine trying on 80s clothes was the best part for me.

I certainly don’t mind a little opinion from another to help me catch up on all the streaming I missed. Here is EW’s hit & miss list.

Let us know if you agree with EW’s Leah Greenblatt, also feel free to share why you think WW84 was deserves more than my opinion.
