  • Synopsis: Juan has proposed to Francesca, but she’s unsure of his true commitment. Francesca decides to use a grad school film exercise as an excuse to meet his exes and find out everything there is to know about her prospective fiancé. In doing so, she uses the audience as a sounding board to gain insight.

Arizona Actors Academy and Theatre Upstairs is proud to present a new regular series presented live and in person and directly to you in your home. Our Friday Night Readings series is devoted to supporting up and coming writers and the development of new works! Presented both in studio and through our Sandra Seacat Virtual Theatre we will read original works from playwrights and screenwriters across the country bringing some of the most timely, important, entertaining and compelling new works to audiences. These readings are informal and stripped down. Enjoy the latest theater and film in its early stage of development. Many of these will be live streamed and may feature a mediated talk back or an invitation to provide audience feedback to the author.

Playwright: Juan Ramirez, Jr

Juan Ramirez, Jr. is an internationally produced, award-winning playwright, monologist, screenwriter, actor, director, filmmaker, producer and poet. Whether writing about larger-than-life characters with relatable problems or relatable characters with larger-than-life problems, his work seeks out truth. If you ever want to learn about yourself, the journey must be as important as the answer.
